<投資女孩，就是投資整個國家的改革>

       哈蒂卡是一位巴基斯坦部落地區的15歲女孩，因親身遭遇，她不停遊說地方耆老，甚至軍警和婚禮業者，遏止童婚這個殘忍習俗。現在，她說服了業者拒辦童婚者的婚禮，這是她在巴基斯坦跨出的第一步。

 

<女孩，是打破性別天花板的力量>

        云筠是冰上曲棍球的台灣女青年選手，在男性為主的運動場上，她以自身的經歷，證明Girl Power是打破語言暴力和運動場限制的第一步。

 

在亞洲，有許多女孩正在為自己的權益奮鬥、勇敢堅持追逐自己的夢想。勵馨在台灣及亞洲推動女孩人權多年，看見亞洲女孩共同面對的四大議題：

• 身體自主權：強迫童婚、從事性工作、甚至性暴力等。
• 健康權的迫害：陰道割禮、束胸、月經迷思等造成健康問題。
• 受教權不平等：完成高等教育的比例與男性不成正比，甚至在日本等先進國家也如此。
• 性別刻板印象與身體意象：受到媒體喧染，造成女孩刻意減肥、美白等身體意象的壓迫。

 

勵馨基金會堅持培力亞洲女孩…

        每年10月11日是國際女孩日(International Day of the Girl)，也是台灣女孩日，勵馨從2003開始，推動台灣女孩日系列活動，包含Formosa女兒獎、女孩工作日、女孩馨光夜跑等，為台灣女兒人權扎根與發聲，至今培力超過10,000名女孩。從2013年開始，勵馨更將培力女孩經驗推展到亞洲，至今已支持全亞洲在地100個以上的女孩培力方案，創造友善安全的女孩發展空間。

Investing in supporting girls

    We see the possibility of reforming for the whole nation.

A 15-year-old girl from a rural community in Pakistan. Hadika’s personal experience has inspired her to travel around and speak to the different stakeholders to bring an end to the cruel custom of child marriage.

 

What we are focusing…

In Taiwan and other regions in Asia, the Garden of Hope Foundation (GOH) has noticed four major issues that girls commonly deal with:

1. Violations of bodily integrity

2. Denial of right to health

3. Unequal right to education

4. Gender stereotypes and body image

 

Why we need you to support GOH’s girl empowerment programs?

1. Capacity building from GOH & Taiwan: Taiwan and GOH are at the forefront of gender equality in Asia. Through your help, we can make 9 Asian countries’ voices heard and promote social concept reform.
2. Promote from its roots: We recognized the importance of the power from local community to their own people, and can lead the movement by passing on its experiences and help Asian girls make use of their power to influence.

2. Series of events: The Formosa Daughters Festival and more.

3. Capacity building: For Asian organizations providing services to disadvantaged girls.
