Charity climbathon
nets NT$1,200,000 for the GOH!
Excuse us while we catch our
breath! The recent International Climbathon for Charity was a huge
success and raised a total of NT$1,850,000 for charity, which included
an incredible NT$1,200,000 for the Garden of Hope Foundation!
A great event and a
great day out!
Our friends at the Canadian Society in Taiwan
helped to organize the
climb, and the international community here in Taipei turned out in
great force to make the day such a huge success.

Sponsors from around
the world
Supporters from around the world took advantage of the online donation
forms to sponsor friends here in Taipei. A few climbers did opt for the elevator to
make it to the 84th floor, but most made it all the way up with lots
of rest stops provided along the way. Everyone enjoyed the buffet
reception and live entertainment on the at the top.

Highlights
At the top, climbers and guests were treated
to performances by Taipei's own jug band "The Muddy Basin Ramblers,"
as well as prizes galore from leading sponsors. Some of the most
memorable highlights were provided by the climbers themselves, who
came dressed in costume. "Elvis" was there and even led a yoga
cool-down on the 84th floor. There were muscle men, a tennis pro, the
tooth fairy, Catwoman, a judo expert, leprechauns, a whole team of ice
hockey players, and even King Kong made the climb!
