Christmas in May!

It was Christmas time all over as Taipei's British Social Group shared proceeds from the 2005 Joint Holiday Luncheon.

Organizers and attendees included representatives from the British Social Group, the American Club in China, the American Institute in Taiwan, the Community Services Center, the Australian and New Zealand Social Group, and the Canadian Society.

The donation will be used for a special program to help children, who witness domestic violence.

On hand to present the donation was, from left, Mr. Greg Hartigan and Ms. Jackie Bernal-Dove from the American Club, and Ms. Anne Quy from the British Social Group. The Garden of Hope gives thanks to all those who organized and attended the luncheon for this thoughtful gift.

Still time to join Taipei's first charity climb and support the GOH!
¡@ There is still time to register for Taipei's first ever charity climbathon in support of Garden of Hope, and held at the world's tallest building - TAIPEI 101.

Help us to continue our work, and have a great time!

As we wrote last month, our friends at the Canadian Society in Taiwan are organizing the climb, proceeds from which will help the Garden of Hope. We invite all our friends and supporters to join in on Sunday, May 21st, or support the event online.

This is not a race, and climbers can go at their own pace. Then, there's prizes, celebrity climbers and an exclusive after-climb party on the 84th floor!

Climb

Participants can climb as far as they like - all the way to the top, or just part of way and then take the elevator. Teams are encouraged, and companies can show their support by putting together an office team.

¡@

Or sponsor a climber

Supporters from around the world can support the event by sponsoring a friend or a celebrity climber through the climbathon website. So, if you don't want to climb yourself, you can still sponsor a climber and support our work. Prizes will go to the top individual and team fundraisers.

Thank you for your support, and see you there!
