GOH hosts international talks to combat human trafficking through Taiwan
¡@
The Garden of Hope is pleased to host a major 3-day conference on
"Strategies to Combat Human Trafficking from Southeast Asia to
Taiwan" from November 28-30 at the GIS Convention Center, National
Taiwan University in Taipei.
In recent years,
Taiwan has become a source, transit, and destination country in the
region for people trafficked into sexual exploitation and forced
labor, which includes people exploited through
fake marriages, and migrant
domestic workers. However, as a regional
problem, we need a regional solution. Outside Taiwan, we need to
coordinate our efforts with other organizations in the region. Within
Taiwan, we need to design better legislation to prevent trafficking,
help trafficking victims, combat traffickers, and offer safe
repatriation.
In light of this
situation, the Garden of Hope Foundation, in conjunction with Vital
Voices Global Partnership, the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and
the American Institute in Taiwan, invites your participation in this
high-level conference from November 28-30 in Taipei to promote
dialogue, change and coordination on this important issue. For more
information, or to register for the event, see the link on our Chinese
website:

at goh383@goh.org.tw to
