Daughters of Formosa Award

¡@

¡@

Are math and science for girls? How about physical sports? Can girls be brave and courageous? Can young people make a difference in the world? The Daughters of Formosa Awards prove that the answer to all these questions is Yes!

¡@

The Daughters of Formosa Awards encourage and celebrate the achievements of girls aged 12-18 all around Taiwan.

¡@

We award prizes in the following areas: Science and Technology; Courage and Adventure; Public Service; Physical Sports; and Arts and Creativity.

¡@

Winners attend a public award ceremony, receive a certificate, a gift, take part in the "Girls Working Day" and win a study tour which takes place the following year.

Vice President Annette Lu presents a prize to a 2003 finalist.

We will post more information about the 2004 winners soon. In the meantime, read what the 2003 finalists had to say about winning the award or read about their study tour to NGOs in Hong Kong.
