1999 ¡V Following the 9/21 Earthquake, the Garden of Hope provides social workers and counseling services for people in the disaster areas.

1999 ¡V Activities are held to teach young people about safe sex and AIDS prevention. At the same time, the Garden of Hope helps to establish a foundation devoted to caring for AIDS patients.

1998 ¡V The Garden of Hope is commissioned to operate the Long-Shan Women¡¦s Service Center for victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse and sexual transactions.

1998 ¡V The Dandelion Treatment Center is established to provide in-depth services to survivors of sexual abuse.

1997 ¡V Publication of educational material about sexual abuse for children and teachers.

1996 ¡V Launch of group treatments for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

1995 ¡V The Garden of Hope¡¦s version of the Law to Prevent Sexual Transactions Involving Children (Anti-Child Prostitution Law) is passed in the Legislative Yuan.

1995 ¡V The Garden of Hope¡¦s offices expand to Taichung and Kaohsiung.

1994 ¡V The Garden of Hope begins care for sexually abused children. 

1993 ¡V Anti-Child Prostitution Marathon is held in one of the main red-light areas of Taipei. More than 15,000 people take part in the rally to end child prostitution.

1992 ¡V Public campaign launched to stamp out child prostitution island-wide.

1991 ¡V Ministry of Interior commissions The Garden of Hope to research child prostitution.

1988 ¡V The Garden of Hope is formed to provide protection and shelter for girls and young women involved in sex work. In the same year, a review of the legal protection for girls is launched.
