2003 - Wenshan Center for Women and Children opened. Commissioned to set up service centers of half-way houses in Miaoli County and Taidong County for women, children and young people.

2002 - Commissioned to establish Fengyuan Rehabilitation Center.

2001 - "Orchid Heart House" established as emergency to long-term shelter for women and children.

2001 - Olivine Girls' Center opens as an employment training program for girls in the care of the Garden of Hope. 

2000 – Counseling and service center begins for unwed pregnant women.

1999 – Following the 9/21 Earthquake, the Garden of Hope provides social workers and counseling services for people in the disaster areas.

1999 – Activities are held to teach young people about safe sex and AIDS prevention. At the same time, the Garden of Hope helps to establish a foundation devoted to caring for AIDS patients.

1998 – The Garden of Hope is commissioned to operate the Long-Shan Women’s Service Center for victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse and sexual transactions.

1998 – The Dandelion Treatment Center is established to provide in-depth services to survivors of sexual abuse.

1997 – Publication of educational material about sexual abuse for children and teachers.

1996 – Launch of group treatments for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

1995 – The Garden of Hope’s version of the Law to Prevent Sexual Transactions Involving Children (Anti-Child Prostitution Law) is passed in the Legislative Yuan.

1995 – The Garden of Hope’s offices expand to Taichung and Kaohsiung.

1994 – The Garden of Hope begins care for sexually abused children. 

1993 – Anti-Child Prostitution Marathon is held in one of the main red-light areas of Taipei. More than 15,000 people take part in the rally to end child prostitution.

1992 – Public campaign launched to stamp out child prostitution island-wide.

1991 – Ministry of Interior commissions The Garden of Hope to research child prostitution.

1988 – The Garden of Hope is formed to provide protection and shelter for girls and young women involved in sex work. In the same year, a review of the legal protection for girls is launched.
